Army Navy

The Chipotle version of Manila (Aaah, Chipotle. How I miss you). Last Sat, I hung out with some friends and realized I was the only mamacita in the group. Oh yeah! Me and them boyz. Guys are just "funner" to hang out with. That's just what's up.
1. Guys just don't care about what we girls care about.
2. Guys don't whine and complain.
3. They're messy (and gross) and it's really funny when they are. "Dude, ssseriously?"
4. They have a completely different kind of humor.
5. They're generally less dramatic which means less annoying.
6. Guys can be a breathe of fresh air --- not literally cause you know they ain't smelling pretty always! But you know what I mean.
7. THEY'RE CRAzY!
Do you agree that guys can be better companions than girls!?  What ya think!?

Sweet Touches

Have you been grateful for a cozy place to sleep in? I certainly have been. Everytime I come into my room, I tell God that I'm thankful. Plus, when I get to see these pretty sweet touches, it makes me all fluffy inside.
I love my clock! My sister gave it to me YEARS ago! It's been a while since I last used it cause it ran out of battery hahahaha. Was too broke to buy --jk! But my sheets are from Ikea, they are my favorite!

Attitude

Lately I've been sensitive to that word up there. I'm learning much about it and this year, I hope that my attitude towards life, difficulties, disappointments, will be much more positive and . . . chill.

"Life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it." - John Maxwell

When something crazy happens, an internal battle exists that causes havoc. Our heart feels like it's going to bounce off our chest, our emotions create a whirlwind within us and we get disillusioned.

PAUSE. BREATHE.

Pull yourself together. Collect your scattered brain cells and emotions, and realize all that you know to be true and logical. It's the first few minutes that blows, but what we do in the next 3 minutes or 3 hours, should ultimately reflect a positive response, a positive attitude.

Jesus, you keep me sane.

Missed Opportunity? Hmmmm.

John Mayer has a song that goes,

"I could have met you in a sandbox
I could have passed you on the sidewalk
Could I have missed my chance
And watched you walk away?"

The title is, "Love Song for No One" (Oh dear, how sad!)

I can't say I can think this way. Perhaps, when I have those "emo" moments or silly pity-parties!  However, I truly believe that "what-if" questions leave out God's sovereignty and negates the cliche, "If it's meant to be, then it's meant to be!" If God meant for something to happen, then He would cause all things to work out, even if it's meeting that person in a sandbox.

That's just my two cents worth.

Boracay: Day Five - Six (last day!)

Day five was sentimental for me. My energy level dropped in anticipation of this trip's nearing end. It was the last full day. My mom told me that ever since I was young, I was always the one in the family who felt the saddest when it was time to leave the beach. Mom said I would cry and look so down. Awww, man! I feel like it's happening all over again!

Forgive me for the picture overload on this post! I need to post all that's necessary!!!
So I guess that's that. All great and awesome things must come to an END!!! WAHHHHHHH!!!

Boracay: Day Four - ALMOST OVER!

PARADISE is indeed almost over!!! On December 31, we did our usual thing by the beach and looked forward to the evening's celebration. Our resort claims to have the longest fireworks display and the longest live band on the island! Don't know if that's actually true! HAHAHA. Anyway, we had Chinese for dinner. AGAIN. HAHAHA! So weird!!! Here are some pictures taken during the night.

Oh look! The waiter behind us looks like he has horns. Haha
 Please be kind 2012!!!

Boracay: Day Two - Three

December 30 was the most traumatizing day my sister and I had in Boracay. We did an "extreme" sport with my dad: we rode on the "flying fish"!!!  It was all fun and exciting during the first few seconds. I found myself going, "Woohoo!!! Yeeeheeee!!" and wondered if there was more to it! I thought, "This is it!? Deng, I can do this!" --- SPOKE TOO SOON! Once the speed boat sped up and the movements got bouncier, I held on to dear life! There was a whole lot of tugging, jerking, hauling, pulling, and whatever adjectives you can use to describe that intense moment! My hands started to ache and stiffen up as I held on tighter and tighter. Sister even fell off and I felt like I was in some dramatic action scene where I stretched out my hand and called her out! "NOOOO!!!!!!" It really wasn't fun anymore! ! ! GAME OVER SUCKER! I AM DONE!
Once we hit land, I stared blankly and completely shocked by what just happened. I was so relieved it was over!

DOING THIS POST MAKES ME MISS BORACAY MORE!! Here are some fun memories.
Cute! Mom and dad playfully cuddle each other because dad was freezing cold while mom was feeling warm in their hotel room!!!
I LOVE ME SOME BFAST FOOD!!!!!!!!! --- and this hallway!!! I miss it!!! It's where I warm up before I stuff myself!
Sunset was taken during my walk with sister later in the afternoon.
Around 5ish, sister and I went to Station 3 to look for some fun things to buy! We bought a frisbee and 3 bikinis. She was considering a fake RayBan, too. She had me try it so I can see how it looks on me. Mirrors were not available! I also wanted to take this lil cutie home!!! I LOVE IT!!!
**Day four and five and six to come!**

I'm Back!!

I'm finally back and and am I happy about it!? NO! *whimpering like a kid*
Boracay was beautiful as usual. The scenery was beautiful, the people, the lifestyle, even the breakfast buffet was amazeballs! I couldn't ask for anything more (but maybe good set of abs would do! HAHA!) The beach life is much simpler and beautiful! I told my mom I wanted to live there and just forget about everything. She ignored me.

God gave us such awesome weather!!! Oh praise GOD!!! It was sunny all five days!

Here are some highlights from day one and two:
We arrived Boracay around 12ish. Here you can see a shuttle service and a speed boat to bring us to our destination. At night after dinner we walked off some calories. I spent the afternoon by the beach while my family took a nap and rested! I was too excited to be in BORACAY!
Day two: Sister, dad, and I walked to station 1 and mom stayed under a shade to read a good book. Sister rested after our walk.
After dinner, the girls and dad enjoyed a rock band by the beach. The breeze was nice and cool. Mom went back to the hotel to rest.
*more pictures tomorrow!*
