Forgiveness

The heart of God is to forgive. Love, patience, grace, compassion, these, to name a few, depict the tender heart of God. If we are for Him, we ought to reflect such qualities. We represent Him. We glorify Him. To forgive is volitional – a choice – to realize that it is a not only a command but it is for the purity of our hearts. 

Free yourself. Reflect the heart of God.

Got My Art On

Finally met up with a friend whom I've been wanting to reconnect with. We've been friends for about 12 years and finally went on a date! She helped me buy art materials which are really nothing extra ordinary. Just some basic stuff: pen, watercolors, and paint brushes.
Some of her artworks are below. They're awesome!

All Fogged Up

After PTC, which was a great success, my co-teachers and I went on a day trip to Tagaytay to try this place that serves breakfast buffet! Upon arrival, the city greeted us with a thick fog and the restaurant we aimed to go was closed! OH NO! Despite the weather and shattered dream, the trip was fun! We ate elsewhere and I devoured like I ought to.

Anchor

An anchor is as a heavy metal device that is chained to a vessel to prevent it from drifting. It is also described as "a person or a thing that provides stability or confidence in an otherwise uncertain situation." 

An anchor is not meant to stifle growth or hold you down. It is meant to allow one to bloom and shine without insecurity or doubt. 

We all need anchors in life. It is what keeps us focused on the prize; it is what keeps us going, growing and GLOWING!  

Go find your anchors.

LATE BDAY BLOG GREETING!

Dear Hotness, I am sorry for the late bday blog greeting. But I want you to know you are one FOINE lass!!! My oh my, have you grown into a lovely young woman. LOL!!! 

You are my soul sister. Hey sister! Happy B-day once again! I hope I made it fun enough for you!

Waiting

All this talk about who's getting married and who's no longer "single" has gotten me to a semi-low point of wondering who I'll be with and when it's going to happen.

I don't know about you, but when this occurs, impatience starts to surface and the danger to yield to self-pity is not far from happening.

1 Samuel 13:8-12 teaches us that looking at situations can wear us down. Feeling anxious, feeling pressured, feeling the negativity of the situation can lead us to going ahead of God.

Samuel commanded Saul to wait. Ultimately it was God's call to test His character and his trust in Him. But because he looked around, waited for days, felt pressured by his men (vs.7), etc, he compromised. He "felt compelled to offer the burnt offering" because he didn't know God well enough to be secure (1 Samuel 13:12). Because of this recklessness, Samuel prophecied that Saul's kingdom will not endure any longer.

RT: "If we are pressured there is a tendency we compromise. Compromise means lowering down God's standards."

Clearly, Saul leaned on his own understanding. Proverbs 3:5 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." His understanding was faulty. His understanding saw the frightening state. His understanding only saw the now, but God saw the big PICTURE. 

Just like Saul, it's easy to panic. But we have to "guard our heart above all else". We have to protect it against thoughts that are contradicting to the Word and contradicting to who God is. When God says He is going to do something, You have to believe that the One who parted the seas will come through. Don't doubt. Look upwards and believe.

Stick close to the Lord (talking to self).

Ignite the JOY of your salvation everyday. When God's love is so strongly felt in our minds, our hearts, our souls and strength (Mark 12:30) we tend to forget we need someone else to fill us up. 

Action Points:

1. Don't settle for less. Just because some Christian hottie dude comes along, doesn't automatically mean he's God's best. 

2. Don't go ahead of God.

3. Guard your heart, don't look at people or your situation. 

4. Do not lean on your own understanding.

5. Do not manipulate or orchestrate the situation just to meet your desires. If you do this, then you might as well settle for less.

6. Don't PANIC, woman! Chill in God's embrace!  

7. Ignite the JOY of your SALVATION. Mark 12: 30!!!

Swim

I haven't blogged in a while; my outfit posts have come to a halt and my enthusiasm for the March Photo Challenge is getting dry! I have lost the will to do it! Perhaps it's cause when I saw all the photos I took, I was like, "What the!" It wasn't pretty! Hahahaha. Anyway, right now it's drizzling! It's insane considering the days were pretty hot before. This is what was on my mind yesterday:

I wish to swim after the rain. It's a good exercise, plus my tan's fading.

Happy Heart's Day

So how was everyone's Valentines?!! Hope it was special. Mom and I went on a date. We went to Rockwell and ate at Wild Ginger (yes, an actual restaurant!!! Hahaha). Will post some pictures tomorrow or the next. For now, here's a heart for you!

Army Navy

The Chipotle version of Manila (Aaah, Chipotle. How I miss you). Last Sat, I hung out with some friends and realized I was the only mamacita in the group. Oh yeah! Me and them boyz. Guys are just "funner" to hang out with. That's just what's up.
1. Guys just don't care about what we girls care about.
2. Guys don't whine and complain.
3. They're messy (and gross) and it's really funny when they are. "Dude, ssseriously?"
4. They have a completely different kind of humor.
5. They're generally less dramatic which means less annoying.
6. Guys can be a breathe of fresh air --- not literally cause you know they ain't smelling pretty always! But you know what I mean.
7. THEY'RE CRAzY!

Do you agree that guys can be better companions than girls!?  What ya think!?

Sweet Touches

Have you been grateful for a cozy place to sleep in? I certainly have been. Everytime I come into my room, I tell God that I'm thankful. Plus, when I get to see these pretty sweet touches, it makes me all fluffy inside.

I love my clock! My sister gave it to me YEARS ago! It's been a while since I last used it cause it ran out of battery hahahaha. Was too broke to buy --jk! But my sheets are from Ikea, they are my favorite!

Attitude

Lately I've been sensitive to that word up there. I'm learning much about it and this year, I hope that my attitude towards life, difficulties, disappointments, will be much more positive and . . . chill.

When something crazy happens, an internal battle exists that causes havoc. Our heart feels like it's going to bounce off our chest, our emotions create a whirlwind within us and we get disillusioned.

PAUSE. BREATHE.

Pull yourself together. Collect your scattered brain cells and emotions, and realize all that you know to be true and logical. It's the first few minutes that blows, but what we do in the next 3 minutes or 3 hours, should ultimately reflect a positive response, a positive attitude.

Jesus, you keep me sane.
