Those were my favorite shoes! Hehe!
*Picture 1985 is not here cause it was glued to mom's album! LOL! But if you're wondering how cute I was back then, don't worry I am still precious as ever.

When Franco was at our house, I had to put my preschool teaching skills to the test. We did everything, from coloring, to push-ups (pretending to be like his dad), to story telling... and here... we pretended to live in his little house! ---- and boy was I exhausted!

Sip.

My friend opened a milk tea place called Sip. I love the name and the interior design of his shop. It's contemporary, chill, and very urban-ish. I even love the logo. How adorable is that logo!? I told him to name it Gingerbee, but he doesn't want to. I strongly believe that it is such big loss for him. It'd be totally REVOLUTIONARY if he considers. LOL! So what does Sip serve? He has flavored teas (lemon yakult, hazelnut, green tea, etc.), of course milk tea, and little snacks to nibble on. Here are some funny quotable quotes by him (I can hear him in my ear).
You can't make good milk tea without good tea (it's 50% of the name for crying out loud).
We've stained our tongues brown and green until we found the right teas to use for our milk teas.
We also treat tea properly. Using the proper equipment (not a coffee maker, or an espresso machine), at the optimum temperature, for the right amount of time. We steep our teas because that's what we're supposed to do (duh!) (if tea was supposed to be treated like coffee people would say brew the tea not steep (those who say brew the tea should read more)). But it's not, because tea is delicate and sweet with a touch of smokiness (coffee machines will burn the teas because the water is meant for coffee and not tea which will make it bitter unless they use crappy tea to begin with).
Seriously. We're different because we make better milk teas. Milk teas that taste like milk and tea blended together properly (awesome!). Not like sugar (though you can adjust that), and not like crappy, bitter, burnt tea! And at the end of the day, if we weren't better and sucked bad we wouldn't be here.
For more details, check out the website or just go to the place itself! HAHA!
Have a sip!

Disciplined

It's that word up there that I absolutely admire in people. According to my free dictionary app (praise God it’s free!), the word disciplined is defined as a, “behavior in accord with rules of conduct; behavior and order maintained by training and control.” When one is disciplined, there is so much desire, restraint, focus, and determination to meet the desired goal. For instance, my parents are amazing role models.  My dad never missed a day of work just cause he wanted to. For the past, I don’t know, 100 years!? (exaggerating here), he never chose to stay home or pretended to be sick even if he has paid leaves! HAHAHA! How amazing is that? Then there’s mom. Always on time, always ready 1-2 hours before her appointments. Ahhh, that’s just commendable behavior. I wish to meet more people whom I can find inspiration in. We all need positive influences that will propel us to want to be better.

How bout you? What characteristics do you admire in people?

Application part: been studying for my comprehensive exam. Tomorrow, I shall go to school early to start the day right. YAY for accomplished goals! Check! Check!
My notes, hahaha...

72 Days of Marriage

So I think most of you have been well-informed about the expired marriage contract that lasted 72-days...  Can you believe it? I can’t even begin to fathom how quick this highly publicized marriage ended!
Thanks, Hollywood! You have definitely ruined the sanctity of marriage.
“Major headlines” such as this, move me to reflect upon my life and how people make serious decisions like that. If in the marriage and you’re already seeing things that stirs up conflict, seek help. Marriage is about relationships. You deal with people and people change and people mess up, and people are/can be psychos! But there is hope and the sanctity of marriage should be respected. Arguments about annoying comments, the toilet seat, being distant, watching too much sports, defective listening skills, all these can be magnified into outrageous proportions as they're not dealt with properly, but is it not fixable? Clearly, I’m against divorce, but I’m no expert on the topic when it comes to abuse or violence in the home. But what I do know is that if it’s “irreconcilable differences” that’s creating a rift between you two, how much effort was truly exerted into reconciling those differences when you were head over heels with that person when you said, “I do!”
For the singles (and for myself) I must say that your heart = emotions should not run your life. The Bible says, “Guard your heart” (Proverbs 4:23) because “the heart is deceitful above all things” (Jeremiah 17:9). You must put your critical thinking skills to work and please, give yourself TIME. All I know is that when you have a deep conviction about something from the very START, do not settle for what’s second-best or available. I've had my regrets in the past and now I'm wiser (hopefully). If you’re wondering where that person is and why he or she hasn’t come yet, have faith and wait. Let’s enjoy being in His presence in the meantime. Though it is painful, the results will truly be worth it all. Let’s go for what you believe we deserve and aim for His best.

Deng, someone get me a publisher?! Gotta write some books!

Do you have a list of non-negotiable’s when it comes to meeting your future mate?

Random Thought.

I need some breathing space. Been reviewing on the same topic for the past two hours and I need some time to reflect upon myself. So I found this. And this is just what I have to say:
Yes. Totally being HUMBLE at the moment.

But on a serious note, I'm going to go nuts if I don't make ME laugh cause studying can really suck the life out of ya. But do you like this show? It took a while for it to grow on me :o)

To Whom Shall I Go?

Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We believe and know that you are the Holy One of God.  John 6:68

Whether you’ve been a Christian for a while or jus getting started, life’s expectations, disappointments or rollercoaster ride of emotions will somehow get us to question our beliefs in God. It may strengthen our walk with the Lord or make us stray away from Him. But when we choose the latter, we discover at the end that He was the only way to a better life.

In the given passage, the followers of Jesus Christ walked away from Him when they realized how much of an offer he was making. He claimed to be the Son of God and claimed to offer eternal life. The Jews were all accustomed into thinking that the prophesied Messiah would be that of a typical King, of great outward appearance. They never expected a carpenter to declare to be the Christ. When Jesus began to say that He was the bread will never make them hungry and the blood that will save them, it was enough for some of the disciples to bail (vs.60 & 66). But when Jesus turned to the rest of the disciples to ask if they too will leave, Simon Peter replies, “To whom shall I go?”

Jesus is the truth, the way, and the life. He has promised not only a life of abundance but also a life of eternity in heaven. When life gets us asking questions, consider the choices before you and ask yourself, “To whom shall I go?”

Application:
  •      Jesus Christ is our Savior. He died to set us free and to save us. Thank Him and accept His offer if you haven’t done yet.
